ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

• Zinc Oxide... 15% w/w of topical zinc oxide reduces red and irritated skin, enhances wound healing, decreases the rate of infection through anti-fungal and antibacterial properties and promotes epithelialisation (initiation of cell turnover). Also acts as protective barrier layer by reducing moisture loss from the skin, whilst creating a barrier. Zinc oxide is highly efficacious in fighting fungal infections by causing the fungi to either deform or stop its conidiospores from developing, leading to its death.

• Organic Rose otto hydrosol… not to be confused with ‘rose floral water’ which is just distilled water and drops of rose oil. Rose otto hydrosol ss produced using Bulgarian organic roses through a double distillation process of the oil-bearing rose (Rosa damascena P. Miller). It does not contain any additives, preservatives or synthetic substances. Rose has exceptional soothing, moisturising, hydrating and softening properties. I

• Organic Chamomile German Blue oil… has powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties to help reduce redness, soothe and heal skin. The blue colour is from the high content of Azulene, an active organic compound that has potent anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties and promotes relaxation.

• Organic Castor oil… a unique thick oil obtained from the castor bean. It is a highly emollient with approximately 90% of the fatty acid chains being ricinoleic acid which isknown to penetrate deep into the skin providing wonderful emollient and moisturising properties. It forms a nourishing barrier, helping to minimise dry, irritated or inflamed skin.

• Organic Comfrey infused oil… infused in organic Vitamin E healing sunflower oil, it contains allantoin which soothes skin and accelerates the healing process.

• Organic Arnica infused oil… infused in organic Vitamin E healing sunflower oil, it helps to reduce swelling, inflammation and lessens bruising.

• Organic St John’s Wort infused oil ... infused in organic Vitamin E healing sunflower oil. Pharmacological research supports the use of St John’s Wort topically for treatment of minor wounds (incl. Shingles), burns, sunburns, abrasions, rashes and bruises due to its antibacterial, antioxidant, antiviral and powerful anti-inflammatory properties,

• Organic Evening primrose… has been shown to reduce inflammation and skin redness in eczema with its high levels of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA).

• Organic Calendula infused oil... accelerates the healing of dry and irritated skin including wounds, burns, bruises, grazes and minor skin infections. The combination of Calendula and St John’s Wort oil has been shown to improve the epithelial reconstruction of surgical wounds. Furthermore, Calendula combined with allantoin (from Comfrey) has been shown to stimulate physiological regeneration and epithelisation in experimentally induced surgical wounds.

• Organic Shea butter… providing soothing relief with its anti-inflammatory properties that absorb into the skin to instantly relieve dryness and itching.

• Organic Licorice root extract… Glycyrrhizin, the sweet principle of licorice root has antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, its phenolic components have been traditionally used for promotion of wound healing. “Licorice root extracts protect the skin against oxidative stress injuries, accelerate wound epithelization, ameliorate remodeling at the wound site and efficiently reduce the symptoms of atopic dermatitis (AD).”

• Organic Gotu Kola extract… active compounds (mainly asiaticoside) has the ability to improve the treatment of small wounds, hypertrophic wounds as well as burns, psoriasis and scleroderma. It does this through promoting fibroblast proliferation (cells that contributes to the formation of connective tissue), and increasing the synthesis of collagen. It also assists in improving the tensile strength of newly formed skin as well as inhibiting the inflammatory phase of hypertrophic scars and keloids.

• Organic Olive leaf extract… known for its anti-inflammatory properties, it contains oleuropein and other bioactive phenolic compounds. Research shows that Oleuropein has various medical properties and may inhibit the effects of both acute and chronic UVB-induced skin damage as well as accelerate wound healing activity, provided benefits on skin rejuvenation.

• Organic Lavender essential oil... calming and relaxing it promotes healing while protecting from infection with its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, it can help to heal minor burns, wounds and insect bites.

DIRECTIONS… Using spatula, dispense a small amount and apply topically to affected area. Do not put wet hands into crème, as it introduces bacteria. Wipe off after each nappy change and apply again to baby’s skin.

VARIATIONS… As a regular customer you will notice that each batch may vary slightly in colour, aroma and consistency. This is because Voi is made fresh, with no additives, or artificial anything … so what you are seeing and experiencing… is ‘nature’. Organic oils vary in colour and consistency based on cultivation methods, weather conditions (temperature and water), harvesting methods and conditions. But you can always be assured that Voi products are fresh as a bunch of freshly picked flowers and are always the highest quality.

RECOMMENDED… Although we use natural ingredients you should always perform a patch test before using, to ensure the product is suitable for you. Choose a time where you can leave the crème on for at least 24-hrs. Apply to the underside of your arm, keep the area dry and rinse off after 24-hrs. If during the patch test, or any other time, you notice a reaction, discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice.

We monitor the weather closely, and if temperatures are exceptionally high, we may delay shipping until conditions improve.
